Expertise
  • Contaminated Site Remediation
  • Water Services
  • Specialised Equipment
  • Thermal Treatment

We approach each site on the basis of the information on hand and an experienced understanding of the impact of historical industrial site uses. We use this information to propose the most appropriate and cost effective remediation approach to deliver the required end use of the land.

Our operations focus on minimising waste to landfill and maximising materials for on-site reuse or recycling. Screening and segregation of materials for recycling and treatment of soils to an acceptable re-use classification using in-house equipment is a fundamental element of our approach. Where materials can not be recycled or re-used on site, we focus on soil treatment using a bank of chemical fixation and solidification technologies to reduce the classification of waste prior to off-site disposal.

Industrial Environmental services and waste management

Enviropacific offers provision of industrial waste related services to industry. Our expertise resides with materials recycling and reprocessing to minimise process spoilage and maximise beneficial re-use of otherwise 'waste' materials. We also undertake specialised industrial services to scalp process contaminated residues from materials before they are released for recycling. Where there is a waste element on an industrial site, Enviropacific can offer innovative alternatives to conventional Total Waste Management (TWM) approaches.

Engineered Solutions

On occasion, the commercial value or yield of land does not justify the remediation cost of conventional treatment and/or disposal. In such instances, we are experienced in working with landowners and consultants to facilitate alternative engineered construction solutions to render contaminated land acceptable for the intended end use.

implementation of innovative in-situ groundwater remediation schemes such as was undertaken at a site in Mt Gambier which involved the successful remediation of a hexavalent chromium plume in karstic limestone.

Armidale Gas Works removal of contaminants from the ground and subsurface using techniques such as excavation and ex-situ treatment, as well as the more traditional methods of ‘pump and treat’
Big Red interceptor systems to deal with non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) at shallow depthssoil vapour extraction (SVE) for cleaning up volatile organic compounds (VOCs) associated with NAPLs
ICE air sparging for dealing with VOCs, semi-volatiles, chlorinated solvents, and some petroleum compounds (C3 – C10)

Enviropacific maintains and operates a number of specialised items of plant and equipment to meet our remediation project requirements. We have direct access to a substantially greater resource of conventional earthmoving equipment, screening equipment and Soil Treatment Plants (Aran Pugmills).

Rotocult

The Rotocult(r) is a horizontal cultivator, designed for homogenous mixing, and consequent aeration, of organic matter into stockpiled soils. The Rotocult(r) has excellent application for homogenous mixing to enhance bioremediation of soil stockpiles.

Tracked loader, truck, water cart and excavator combinations

The low hour well maintained combination is used exclusively on Enviropacific remediation projects. The water tanker is of particular benefit for both asbestos jobs, application of odour suppressants and for moisture conditioning soils prior to engineered compaction.

Soil recycler

Tracked-Mounted-Soil-RecyclerEnviropacific owns and operates a track-mounted soil recycler, which has specific application for the stabilisation of sediments, sludges and contaminated soils as well as for blending additives for soil improvement or enhanced bioremediation. The unit is highly mobile and compact and is capable of treating a range of soils including semi-heavy clays.

Soil treatment plants (Pugmill)

Enviropacific has access to 5 mobile pugmills. Pugmills have specific application for chemical fixation/stabilisation of a range of inorganic and organic contaminants. They are widely recognised as a highly efficient soil mixing plant by Environmental Authorities and can supply a range of solid and liquid additives at controlled dosages.

Tracked vibrating screens

Screening can be a fundamental element in reducing the quantity of waste that requires treatment or off-site disposal. Our screens are compact and easily transportable. A wide variety of mesh sizes can be fitted to deliver the necessary sizing of the material.

Finn hydroseeding and waste cover equipment

Enviropacific has access a purpose built Finn hydroseeding mobile unit. In addition to hydroseeding, the equipment has specific use in supplying odour suppressants and degradable waste cover materials and daily cementitious capping products.

Gas and soil monitoring

Hand held XRFPID, ITX, confined space gas monitor, Kitigawa pumps/tubes, hand held XRF - We place great emphasis on protection of worker health and safety during remediation projects. Gas detection equipment is a fundamental element to this commitment and we maintain a number of testing items to ensure compliance and a 'best practice' approach.

Trimble® GPS rover and base station

Trimble GPS survey equipmentMaterials tracking is an important element of the QA on all remediation projects. Our personnel are trained in the use of our GPS Rover and Base Station, and can readily apply this survey technology for insitu and exsitu measurements of quantities, stockpile tracking or movement and setout of remediation or grid coordinates. Data can be captured and presented in AutoCad or similar survey and drafting software packages.

MOBILE TREATMENT SOLUTIONS has been formed by three established companies with proven track records in the fields of remediation contracting and, thermal processing and chemical engineering, and manufacture of thermal processing equipment.

MOBILE TREATMENT SOLUTIONS seeks to better service clients with technology-based treatment solutions. Our approach is to pursue the application of treatment technologies – specifically thermal, to clients with responsibility for legacy issues involving contaminated land such as developers, public and private companies, and environmental consultants.

MOBILE TREATMENT SOLUTIONS is able to offer the following thermal plant with the objective of delivering sustainable, cost effective solutions for the treatment of soils and sediments contaminated with otherwise ‘intractable’ compounds.

  • a direct-fired thermal desorption [DTD] unit with a throughput of up to 5 tph of soil;
  • a batch thermal desorption [BTD] unit; each batch unit treating 15 tonnes of soil, or up to 250 tonnes/week.
