SOLVE soil treatment facility commissioning about to begin

SOLVE Altona, our new multi-million dollar soil and waste treatment facility in Melbourne’s west, is on schedule for opening later this year.

The facility is close to completion, with the commissioning process expected to start within the next fortnight.

Our Victorian State Manager, Jared Roberts, says the facility is starting to generate interest.

“We are pleased with the industry support we’ve received so far – the plant will not only be incredibly effective at cleaning contaminated soil and waste but will also be very safe given that it is a state-of-the-art fully-enclosed thermal treatment facility,” said Mr Roberts.

“In the past month we have also engaged with the local community through the Altona Complex Neighbourhood Consultative Committee (of which we are now a member) and local media.

We have been able to explain how the facility works, the risk mitigation measures being put in place and Enviropacific’s exceptional safety record – all of which will make this facility one of the safest in the world,” he said

Enviropacific is continuing to work closely with the Environment Protection Authority in Victoria and the Hobsons Bay City Council as the trial phase approaches. Trials are expected to last about a month before it starts to become fully operational.

This facility will be an important part in Enviropacific’s overall mission to create cleaner, safer communities.
